Society „Daugavpils jauniešu savienība” from Latvia cooperation with society „Zdruzenje EPEKA” from Slovenia, „Keuropa” from Finland, „FUNDACJA DOBRA WOLA” from Poland, „European Education and Learning Institute” from Greece, „Associação Move.T+” from Portugal with support of International Youth program agency within a program “ERASMUS+: Youth in Action” will organize the project “Midsummer night’s dream”.
The aim of the project: is to give young people united with the same interests and representing different countries/ regions the opportunity to get to know different European holiday celebrations (in this case it is Solstice celebration), to meet and promote intercultural dialogue, youth mobility and membership of the European youth community.
Project activities will start from 17.06.2017. – 24,06.2017. In this project will participate 30 participants from 6 countries Latvia, Slovenia, Poland, Finland, Greece and Portugal.
Regions involved in this project are geographically distant from each other that why they represent different cultures and traditions celebrating the same festivals. For this reason young people involved into this project will have the opportunity to understand how geographical conditions can affect the culture, cultural differences, and how cultural interactions are made, how people from different countries gradually take over celebrating traditions from different countries.
To popularize the idea if unity during the project activities. Every participant will have the opportunity to express his/her own opinion, and to show initiative during all activities of the project. Within the project everyone will gain new experience in communication, as a leader, in participation, in the promotion of the healthy lifestyle, in his/her country representation etc.
